Why do we go Round and round Round and round Smooth out the corners Fill in the blanks Cry with the mourners Round and round Chasing our tails Move up the ranks and make the most sales Round and round this pattern is law but Choose where you go and you'll see what they never saw Take me round Why do we go Round and round Round like the rocks in my pocket Round like a pearl from the sea Round like my eyes when I saw you Staring right back at me Round like the hills that we walk on Round like the earth neath our feet Round is the road that we spin down We're orbiting this loop from the front seat

Last night I I dreamed my street was a river Stepped out of my door and was pulled downstream My upturned umbrella carried me like a lover The two of us mixing like cold air & steam We floated down Montrose our stern pointed east Past stop signs and gold mines and guys on the corner With each paddle stroke my volition increased My tears turned to rubies, no longer a mourner My cheek to the sun, my lap lap full of stones I was fed to the heart of the great inland sea The water I swallowed seeped into my bones It was sweet as an orange plucked from a tree I awoke on the beach with crab claws in my hair The moon spinning myths out of crystalized light In my palm a reminder of my baptized affair Three rubies aglow in the sweet summer night Last night I had a dream Would you stay if I asked Would I stay if you didn't And aren't we both tasked with movement? Would you stay if I asked Would I stay if you didn't? We're bent by Prudent wants, proven needs Justified by a grand emptiness that sits proudly in its vacancy like Inkless virgin pages in the back of a book or the momentary glory of Noble Silences Before we scramble to own them What is it about emptiness that makes us want to fill it? I dreamed that you stayed and my street was a river.

"Ok so the dream last night... There were three of us standing by, like some sort of a river and you were like a child, so we're standing there, you know by this river, standing in the mud. I had something in my hand and I opened up my palm and this bee flew out of my palm and flew around us three times, and we all watched it - it was like in slow motion. And then the bee landed on your mouth and stung you, and then your whole face swelled up, like.. really bizarre, and then you opened your mouth and started to sing. And it was like in some strange language, I wanna think it was Celtic but I really don't know, and all this weird stuff started happening like in the sky and in the earth and it was like this weird thing with time and things moving really fast and really slow, and as you sang all the swelling and everything went away. But as you were singing you were starting to lift up off the ground, so we - the three of us - bent down and we were piling mud on your feet, like burying your feet so you wouldn't fly away. Ok so... there you go, my dream from last night. Hope you're doing good, Proof Of Life please. Ok, Peace."

And Counting 05:28
Time, here I stand, make your mark on me My friend on occasion, sometime lover, and enemy. Do you like me better in red? Will I find you there in my bed sometime Stretched to fit my desire Give me minutes that don't stack higher than I am Time, here I lay, come lay with me Can you be where you are Or do days afar have your priority? Will you slow for me if I speed up to catch you? What would you see if I switched red for blue? Time, here I am, come dance with me! Beautiful as my Mother, oh what a pair are we Spin me around, open my eyes, I won't loose my way Time though you've shuffled the hand that I hold, I'll hold fast and never will stray. Cut the big talk your words don't weigh in I'll make them fly while you make them spin It'll be a long walk and my shoes have worn thin but Ground is sky, without is within. Time - here I stand, here I am Do you like me better in red? Will I find you there in my bed sometime Stretched to fit my desire Give me minutes that don't stack higher than I am Time, here I am, come dance with me! Beautiful as my Mother, oh what a pair are we Spin me around, open my eyes, I won't loose my way Time though you've shuffled the hand that I hold, I'll hold fast and never will stray. If water is fire, build me a sun-ship Before I retire into the outside If fire is water, find me a phoenix To fly me across the ocean of flames

I'll stand strong I'll stand I'll hold the pen for myself thank you sir I'll go exactly the way I prefer I'll stop for no one but you can come too As long as you don't change my violet to blue I'll grow up slow Gather together Time Won't Slow 4 U

Of The Land 03:32
We hear the crying of the land Change and healing we demand Crisis calls for all of us to stand In our power hand in hand Mother you're burning, ash is raining down on me The planet keeps turning while we gamble like everything's free Mother listen now to me: Your children have a promise to you - We're gonna heal you, you'll see.

When was the last time you listened With something besides your ears? And have your eyes ever glistened With something besides tears? Whenever I feel stranded at sea I let my own bloodstream carry me Throw my salted anchor skyward Knowing the sun will reel me in Gaining altitude like a bluebird Held in my beak are the places i have been When was the last time you listened With something besides your ears? And have your eyes ever glistened With something besides tears? Whenever I feel stranded at sea I let my own bloodstream carry me And I’m always en route don't ask are we there yet I’ll lace up my boots each morning and fly Headed upstream on seas red as nighttime Past islands of knowing in currents of why When was the last time you listened With something besides your ears? And have your eyes ever glistened With something besides tears? Standing in my power though my legs ache Like a tree about to flower, buds swell within me Biking down the road my wake gleaming golden I've changed my zip code again And if you need to find me and I'm not where I said I'd be then dig me up from underneath the almond tree
